 On November 21, The OCM released the long-awaited proposed regulations for Adult-Use Licenses in New York. The regulations are released following the OCM awarding the first 36 CAURD Licenses to qualified social equity applicants.

License Fee

• A none application and license fee of $2,000 is required to process your Adult-Use Retail License.

Things To Know For Your Retail Operator License Application

To apply for a license, you complete the application process, which includes submitting the following documents:

• Must be at least 21+ years of age
• You must not have any disqualifying criminal convictions
• Must be a resident of New York
• Business Plan is required
• You are the leaseholder or owner of the property-zoned location
• Bank Statement
• Driver’s License or Supplementary Identification Form

What Happens After I Submit My Adult-Use Retail License To The OCM?

After the submission of your Adult-Use Retail Operator License, the OCM will review it and may request additional documents or information. You will be issued a license from the OCM to operate in New York upon approval.
